SMP For Alopecia

For all forms of alopecia

Alopecia is a condition that results in hair loss. There are various types, which cause different levels of hair loss on the scalp, face, and body. Some of these types include Androgenic Alopecia, also known as pattern baldness, Alopecia Areata, Alopecia Totalis, and Alopecia Universalis.

We can cover and conceal the thin or bald areas on the scalp caused by alopecia with scalp micropigmentation, greatly transforming your appearance and improving your life. Alopecia is typically categorised based on its cause and effect.

The most common type of alopecia is androgenic alopecia, also known as male pattern baldness. This type affects men over the age of 50 and is thought to be caused by changes in male sex hormones, with many cases being genetic. Alopecia Areata is an autoimmune condition characterised by circular patches of hair loss and can occur at any age, often triggered by stress, loss of a loved one, or poor health.

Alopecia Totalis is a condition in which there is total loss of hair from the scalp, while Alopecia Universalis is another autoimmune condition characterised by total or near-total hair loss from all over the body. This is a rare condition, accounting for about 1% of all alopecia cases.

Traction Alopecia is a condition more commonly seen in women who wear braids or weaves, or in those suffering from trichotillomania, a compulsive disorder characterised by excessive hair plucking. This constant pulling causes stress on the hair follicles, leading to hair loss. However, with proper care, this condition can be reversed if detected in its early stages.

Alopecia Telogen Effluvium is a condition that causes more than just hair shedding. There is a general thinning of hair, but it usually resolves on its own over time. This condition is often treatable.

Scalp micropigmentation provides immediate yet gradual results. It is a hair loss treatment that yields visible results and offers permanent concealment for baldness, restoring confidence. The recovery time is quick and maintenance is easy. Once the initial treatment plan is completed, the remaining steps of the treatment will be taken care of. The pigments do not wash off easily and are always present to provide camouflage and protection where needed.
